I am a little giddy, as I would assume many creative folks are, anytime really old stuff gets scanned and made available for the human race to see and enjoy. So check out what is now on Flickr!

This is not about stealing work by living, breathing people – artists trying to make a living (I consider myself part of this group). It is about revealing history to there world. The British government does try to protect the rights, by the way, of living and rights-holding artists.

Here’s an article about that: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/ed-vaizey-announces-transfer-of-authors-public-lending-right-to-british-library

But the story for today is – ta-da! the release of 1 million (more to come!) amazing images from history. Here’s the info: http://www.businessinsider.com/british-library-releases-pictures-to-flickr-2013-12
