Brent Weber’s Feature on Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department’s Open House

The annual Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department Open House on October 10, 2015 gave residents the opportunity to gain valuable safety information and see first-hand how challenging the work of emergency workers can be.

More than 1,500 visitors of all ages took part in the event, featuring dozens of activities and exhibitors form local community organizations. In addition to the host Jersey Fire Station, vehicles and representatives were on hand from RC police, CalFire and others.

The day was highlighted by several simulated emergency response demonstrations, including a simulated vehicle fire, simulated structure fire and a simulated traffic accident that required the ‘jaws of life.’
